Losing Weight

Losing weight can certainly be a challenge if you have Hashimoto's. There are a number of potential reasons why. Some are related to hypothyroidism and others are related to autoimmunity.

With hypothyroidism, it's harder to lose weight because your thyroid controls your body's metabolism. And when you're hypothyroid, everything can slow down, in cluding your ability to burn calories.

With autoimmunity inflammation is the root of all evil. And inflammation, itself can be a major player when you have difficulty losing weight.
