CASE REVIEW WITH HASHIMOTO'S SPECIALIST, MARC RYAN, L.Ac.
Hashimoto’s can impact so many parts of the body and it can get really complicated really quickly.
The case review is the first step in understanding what is going on with you and in crafting a plan of action.
And the reality is that this is a multi-system problem that requires a multi-system strategy to get it under control.
Everyone has their own unique form of this disease and, we need to figure out exactly where your issues are, then you have a much better chance at getting to the bottom of the problem(s) and correcting them.
First, we need to gather all the important information, summarize it and then we can create a plan of action.
This is the first step for all patients. Here is what is included:
A thorough review of medical records with recent blood work or other laboratory testing (10 page limit)
Laboratory testing provides valuable information about how Hashimoto’s and hypothyroidism is impacting your body.
But what good is that information if you don’t know what to do with the data?
I have worked with over 1500 Hashimoto’s patients and have reviewed hundreds of people’s lab work and have extensive experience in reading and understanding laboratory results in the context of Hashimoto’s.
The Metabolic Assessment Form is a detailed questionnaire that looks at all the major systems of your body (i.e., the intestines, the liver, the gall bladder, the pancreas, the stomach, the adrenals, the thyroid, the pituitary and more). Many of these areas are overlooked by conventional doctors, but they can’t be ignored with Hashimoto’s. If you have issues in these areas they must be treated or you will not get better.
The Brain Health Assessment Form looks specifically at the brain and how it has been impacted by Hashimoto’s. This is another area that is frequently ignored, but in my experience the people who are the sickest and most advanced are those whose brains have been most impacted by Hashimoto’s. Neurodegeneration of the brain leads to massive losses in function and quality of life. This is one area that must be assessed and treated.
First Consultation: Review all your signs and symptoms, health history and the blood test results with you (30-45 minutes)
Second Consultation: Go over the Report of Findings and discuss the treatment goals, plan and diet, lifestyle and supplement recommendations for moving forward. (60 minutes)
• You will also get recommendations for further testing if necessary.
• And a complete treatment action plan that includes recommendations for mind, body and spritual transformation.
Third Consultation: Follow up after 4 weeks of implementing the action plan. Make adjustments as necessary and provide guidance moving forward. (30 minutes)
If you want to heal your Hashimoto’s, you need an effective approach that looks at all three aspects of your being. This is way more than just a thyroid problem and you are way more than just a thyroid. You need an action plan that helps you to heal all of these aspects of your being.
